Lean Manufacturing

JC Gibbons applies Lean manufacturing techniques in every area of our business – from the shop floor to the offices. Our Kaizen events have included:

• 5S activities shop wide and in the front office
• Tracking OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness)

We also use the principle of 5S to help maintain a clean, organized facility. Taken together, Lean manufacturing and 5S help lead JC Gibbons to greater and greater heights in precision CNC machining and screw machine products.

Quality Parts – Every Time!

At JC Gibbons, we analyze SPC (Statistical Process Control) data daily at the shop floor level in order to manufacture quality precision parts. Our commitment to analysis of quality information leads to a better, more consistent product for our customers. We also perform Overall Equipment Effectiveness tracking (or OEE tracking) to make sure that our CNC lathes, vertical mill and other machines are always running at their best. Periodic preventive maintenance allows us to run our machines longer without breakdowns that cost us and our customers time and money.
